Dad's Service Record
I feel quite embarrassed to be in such esteemed company!
What an extraordinary coincidence that Dad's records arrived on the day that the BBC site closed!
They are not as detailed as Ron Goldstein's possibly because Ron applied in person?
The photocopies were all muddled up and as yet I have only had the chance to sort them into order (I think), and skim read them.
Prepare yourselves for the questions gentlemen!
Regards

Dear CTN
" Distinguished company" ?, as the Japanese stamp collector said "Philately will get you anywhere" :).
Seriously, we are glad to have you with us and will be only too pleased to be of service.
It might help to scan the document that contains the most dates and acronyms and attach the image to your next posting, Peter's very helpful FAQ (see top right) will help you with this.
Ciao for now
Ron
CTNana - a hearty welcome to you and trust that you will save all the easy questions for me - good idea to scan them also as sometimes it's easier to ascertain what it is all about -
just remember that these records were up dated generally by a very harrassed Company clerk and at the end of a tiring day - shortcuts abound and sometimes it's necessary to use a divining rod to get to the meat and spuds.
I know the others will do their best to assist in getting to the real history - which gives us all a kick !
Cheers
Tom.
