Excellent Canadian Army website

I thought the members might find this site interesting:  Canadian Army Website.

Lots of info on Canadian army during WWII. Quite an extensive library of pics and trivia.

Hi Ron

I've taken the liberty of editing your Post and giving a direct link, saves having to copy and paste.

Very interesting, despite some highly eccentric coding. As you will see if you click on the link, I've gone directly to the Canadian army page. I'll place the link in our growing collection of permanent links shortly.

Is there a trick to making a link? I tried using the ink button on the compositon page but when I previewed it the link was invisible. Other times when it was visible the link the page came up blank with an error message when I clicked it.

There's no trick, just a plain straightforwardly coded link. To see the code, click Edit on your post.

There is even an automated tool for doing this. It is called 'Blog this' and is on the Google bar.

I'm sure you'll soon get the hang of it. :)

Hello Peter, Rommac (and others),

Very interesting and detailed background on the Canadian Army.

Do you know if there is something similar for the RCAF in WW2? Some years ago I came across references to some RCAF personnel during the Battle of Normandy and tried to find out more about them, with only limited succcess.

The site is currently undergoing a redseign and you have to be a bit of a Sherlock Holmes to find anything. The old site I find is much easier to navigate and find stuff. Just paste www.canadiansoldiers.com on your nav window and it'll take you to a link to the old site.
