I definitely think it is long overdue. They had no choice it was compulsary or go to prison. Having been in the pits a couple of times as a visitor, I had it down as hell on earth and would probably have taken the prison sentence rather than go there on a daily basis. Wear the badge with pride it should have been a medal, to work in those places took a brave man indeed.
