Seasonal Greetings from Cockfosters
Once a year, around this time, my youngest daughter, Ruth, invites the rest of the family to spend the day with her
and her family in the wilds of Brookman's Park in rural Hertfordshire.
We always take the opportunity to get a group photo and so, through the wonders of a timer on my camera, I once again captured a souvenir of a treasured "family get together". Kate, my oldest grand-daughter, was away up North this year and so we were not quite complete but we were loth to break with tradition, hence the attached.
All the above merely as a preamble to wish everyone who uses this Blog
Compliments of the Season
and a
Very Healthy & Happy New Year
Ron

Ron -
always good to see a family joining to celebrate anytime but more especially at this time of the year when we can look back on our successes - and the odd mishap which thankfully have been few this year.
I too have just returned from Vancouver with our family but unfortunately Veronica couldn't make it for a last minute illness but insisted that I went with our daughter to meet with the two boys and the grandchildren and the daughter in law.
As always a most pleasant day, and I would join in your good wishes for all of our friends on the blog and trust 2008 will be as successful as 2007.
A newcomer on the blog - you have made me feel welcome and you have all helped me go back and dig in the past of a beloved relative. This has also helped our family come to terms with its history.
I am most grateful to you all and in turn wish peace, serenity and good health to you all.

PS. With a special hello to British Columbians!
Catherine -
I am sure that my colleaques extend their thanks for all of your comments and postings since joining us and trust that our memories of those dark days will bring some solace to your family as the saying "peace on earth" still escapes humanity.
As a British Columbian I now repair to enjoy(sic) our natural winter sport of clearing the pathways of four inches of the white stuff which descended last night like manna, as the civic employees whose task it is - enjoy their vacations !
Great photo Ron.
I just hope everyone had as nice a christmas as I had and that we all go on to a happy and prosperous new year.
Seasonal Greetings to everyone.
Perhaps we can all give a special thought to all those families still separated by wars and conflicts the world over.
Great family photo, Ron. Good to see you and Nita looking well.
Here's to many more!
Peter
