Additional information
Staff Sergeant James Deb Singh (1915 - 1946) of Keswick, Cumberland (now Cumbria) served in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers during WW2. He was the son of Harold and Nancy Singh. Sergeant Singh was also the husband of Mary Elizabeth Singh (nee Atkinson) whom he had married in 1941.
Sergeant James Singh died on 26 December 1946 and was laid to rest in St John's Churchyard, Keswick. Below is the inscription on his headstone:
"In beloved memory of my dearest husband Deb. Until we meet again".
